**Updated** Carrie Prejean claims she has been "Palin-ized"

The back story:

Carrie Prejean, Miss California USA & contestant in the Miss USA 2009 pageant (she wins as first runner up) answers a question about gay marriage that causes quite a stir.
She was eventually dethroned on June 10, 2009, with the producers of the Miss California USA pageant citing continued alleged breach of contract issues as the reason (wikipedia has a great accounting of all the allegations made and the history behind these issues).

Miss Prejean called those claims false, and filed a libel suit alleging that she has been discriminated against due to her religious views. However, the legal battle between her the pageant officials was settled out of court on November 3, 2009 following the revelation of a "sex tape" involving Miss Prejean.

So, onwards and upwards for the publicity hound Prejean. She has been making the rounds doing shows claiming she has been attacked for her religious views, and has been "palin-ized". She claims that there is a campaign to attack her for her religious beliefs, and is trying to take away her right to be vocal about that. She deems herself to be under "political attack".

She appeared on "The View" and told why she made the tape, and how she did it while she was 17 and it was the "biggest mistake of her life". She said that she was being forced to talk about it.
Prejean then praised her personal decision to go public about the self-pleasuring video. "It's embarrassing even talking about this right now," said the former topless model/Fox News poster child. "I've been on national TV discussing the worst mistake of my life. I mean, how many people are comfortable doing that?"

When Barbara Walters reminded her that she also had monetary reasons -- "But you did it also because you have a book out" -- Prejean admitted that was true but then got back on topic with claims of religious discrimination for her gay-marriage views.

She also appeared on Sean Hannity telling her story:

She says she was in love, and sent it to her boyfriend, and she never thought it would come out. She says she is now taking responsibility for it, it happened, and it is embarrassing, and she again states that this was the biggest mistake of her life.

Now, Ms. Prejean is 22 years old. She says that this tape was made when she was 17 years old. Her ex-boyfriend, who has the tape/s is now claiming that there are more than that single tape and that Ms.Prejean was NOT 17 when this tape was made and sent to him but she says it was made in 2007, and that she was 20 years old. He is also claiming that she called him and attempted to get him to lie about her age.

Carrie Prejean's ex-boyfriend -- the guy to whom she sent the XXX solo video -- tells TMZ Carrie and company called him last week and tried getting him to "lie" and say she was 17 when she shot the video.

Carrie Wants Me To Lie

Now this is the same woman who has written a book called "Still Standing" in which she claims “Our bodies are temples of the Lord. We should earn respect and admiration for our hearts, not for showing skin to look sexy.”

So this woman who got her breast increased for a beauty pageant, did racy photos for money, and now we are finding out that she has sex tapes she sent to her old b/f and is lying about how old she was when she did this, not to mention the fact that she did it at all, is trying to play herself off as an upstanding christian who has morals and is being picked on for her religious beliefs and nothing else?

She was also on Larry King Live last night, and he asked her point blank why she felt she had been "palinized" and she said

"Well, you look at Sarah Palin and Congresswoman Michelle Bachman, and they are relentlessly torn down by the liberal media, these are wonderful women, they are intelligent, they're great mothers, they're brilliant, and yet, there is the double standard that conservative women are fair game to be attacked, and it's not right and it needs to stop."

So Larry asks her "Doesn't the conservative media tear down Liberal politicians?" to which Carrie responded with, "Not to the extent that Liberals do to Conservatives, uh, women, I think that they get away with it, look at Keith Olberman for instance, I talk about it in my book, some of the things he says on his show about conservatives, if Sean Hannity or Bill O'Reilly said anything like that about Liberal women like Sonja Sotamayor or Michelle Obama he'd be off the air, and there's this double standard and Americans are now exposed to it."

A news article and the rest of the video can be found at the link below:

Carrie Prejean joined the honorable Larry King tonight on his classic television program, where she proceeded to tell him that he was inappropriate for asking her questions related to her "confidential" lawsuit.

And, again, standing by her statement that she takes full responsibility for her actions as a teenager in making a sex tape for her boyfriend at the time, she also emphasized that she feels humiliated and embarrassed at having to discuss her situation on her current book tour.

The veteran talk show host was visibly perplexed at her repeated accusations that he was fielding inappropriate questions during their interview.

As Mr. King moved on to a telephone caller, Ms. Prejean proceeded to unhook her microphone, and then sit, periodically talking to someone on the side of the stage, stating:

I think that you are being extremely inappropriate right now, and I'm about to leave your show.

They sat in silence for a few seconds (which felt like minutes) and then went to a commercial.

Carrie Tells Larry King He is Being Extremely Inappropriate

She also says that Sarah Palin is her hero. Seriously? That made me laugh out loud!

She and Palin are two peas in a pod! Is this what we can expect from "conservative women"? Claims of victimization in order to garner more attention for themselves? Is this how they plan to get ahead in life? It seems to be the main theme in Sarah Palin's life and now Carrie Prejean is following happily along in her footsteps.

**UPDATE**

TMZ has learned Carrie Prejean just pulled out of a talk she was supposed to give this afternoon at the Capitol Hill Club in Washington D.C. -- an exclusive club for Republicans only.An insider at the Capitol Hill Club tells TMZ Carrie canceled five minutes before she was supposed to speak because her camp wanted to avoid a repeat of last night's "Larry King Live" fiasco -- when she almost walked off the set.

Carrie faced a fresh wave of criticism this morning after her former hookup told us she wanted him to lie about her sex tape and tell people she was underage when she filmed it ... when she was really 20-years-old.

  2. Well it looks like that "quitter" gene is becoming more prominent in Prejean.
