BOYCOTT ALASKA

Don't give the state a single penny of your money until they stop the wholesale slaughter of wolves under the guise of "predator control".

Hunters in Alaska don't like competing with wolves. So the state has been issuing permits for teams of gunners and pilots to chase wolves from aircraft, then shoot them. This January, the Superior Court of Alaska found the state's aerial wolf-shooting scheme invalid. But rather than stop the gunning, the state's Board of Game hastily made up new rules and the killing of wolves continues! In response, we're calling for all supporters to BOYCOTT ALASKA this travel season.
In 1992, Friends of Animals's BOYCOTT ALASKA campaign stopped a similar aerial program after just 15 days.
Show your support by submitting photographs of boycott supporters holding signs such as "Boycott Alaska," "I'd rather be here than in Alaska," or "Stop Shooting Wolves." Tell us where "here" is for you. And tell your friends and co-workers. Send a message to the Alaskan government that you won't be spending money in Alaska until it ends its aerial wolf-control program.
Thanks to Francis Murray of Juneau, Alaska, for sending us this idea. At Friends of Animals, we acknowledge that wolves have inherent value. Whether we deem them endangered or plentiful in numbers, and whether or not we see them and deem them beautiful, their individual lives, their futures, and their freedom have meaning and value to them. And that's what counts to us.

Pass the PAW Act -- End Alaska's Aerial Hunting Program!
Tell Congress to support the Protect America's Wildlife (PAW) Act, legislation to close a federal loophole and curb Alaska's brutal aerial hunting program -- and prevent programs like it from spreading to places like the Greater Yellowstone region.

Eye, thanks for this...the wolves are in critical danger up there! Those Asshats in charge want to make Alaska a big game farm!
Come up and Kill something! Wolf or Bear, gas a wolf cub!
No animal is safe up there. So we must do what we can and the only thing left is to BOYCOTT ALASKA!

  2. No Thanks Needed! This is important and worth getting as much attention as possible. I sent it to a lot of my friends as well, and asked that they pass it around to everyone they know.

  3. I had a terrible dream last night about wandering innocently into a restaurant where the waiters in some kind of showmanship display skinned baby alligators alive right at the table and twisted them up for roasting. I ran out of the restaurant horrified, it was such a nightmare. I want to do something to help any animal, but especially wild animals right now because they are defenseless in so many ways.

Helen so true, and Alaska wildlife have no rights, Sarha Palin said it herself, Wildlife belongs on the table next to the mashed potato's!!!!
Wildlife is a resource they "harvest" they are "harvesting" wolves right now...!
It is a stinking pit of corruption there...and Sarah Palin is spreading her filth around the lower 48, someone should slap her upside the head.
    We don't want you here.
The Feds will have to go in and clean up Alaska as it is being run by thugs & thuggets!
crooked as they come. A "gopher choker" is in charge of Fish & game...he has no biology degrees and blabs about "smokin' two packs a day" (wolves)
    disgusting...

  5. I've been boycotting every thing Alaska ever since they started this crap. My very large family was going to take an Alaskan cruise for a family reunion several years ago. I showed them all the aerial wolf slaughter info and we went elsewhere. Alaska lost over $250K in tourist dollars that year and will never see a dime from our family.

  6. Just in from Regina at Palingates:

It looks like Discovery is going for Sarah Palin's idea for a series... how disappointing!

I'm having all Discovery channels removed from my lineup. This is an abomination.
