Sarah Palin & The Lunatic Fringe

Last Night Rachel Maddow did a segment on her show that is extremely important for people to see.

Sarah Palin seems to be willingly and happily associating herself with this lunatic fringe  and using specific wording as a call to arms, both literally and figuratively, to take action against those with whom they disagree.

On her twitter page, you can see the call to "Reload".........

Next on her facebook page you have her using gunsights to pinpoint the locations she wants targeted....

This isn't "accidental" language, but instead it is deliberate and incendiary language used to ignite passions and inflame her followers, spurring them into action.

Now take the close association of Sarah Palin not just with the Tea-Party activists who have been shown to use hateful rhetoric in order to get their point across, as is evidenced by the signs seen at the Tea-Party Rallies but with her ties to the AIP, which we will go into later, she is adept at creating division and encouraging action against the government.

These are just a few examples of the Tea Party protest signs.  The problem is that all should be considered threats, especially in light of the incidents that are taking place now.   When their votes don't get them what they want, they are now going to use the threat of violence to promote their agenda.  That is nothing short of Domestic Terrorism.

Now Sarah Palin supporters are no different, and in fact are inline with these "teabaggers".  In fact, her own website, Conservatives for Palin has members who have been vocal about their support for the Tea Party, and one member in particular proudly proclaims his violent tendancy.

I know many will say that Sarah cannot be held responsible for what her followers do or say, but her facebook and twitter postings have negated that argument 100%.   When you call for people to "Reload" and use gun sights for targeting people, you are in fact inciting that violent behavior and encouraging the lunatic fringe into action.

This was found at the AARP website:

This is really distressing, but we've witnessed it being inflamed before our very eyes by the new extremist element of the GOP.  We've seen the ugly posters at Tea Party events, GOP leaders and lawmakers inciting protesters, even tweeting about guns and rising up against the other side and  President Barack HUSSEIN Obam a and filing frivolous lawsuits about his citizenship.
John Avlon says this new Harris poll is scary, and that’s probably an understatement. Bad craziness has taken over the right to an appalling degree.
Obama Derangement Syndrome—pathological hatred of the president posing as patriotism—has infected the Republican Party. Here’s new data to prove it:
  • 67 percent of Republicans (and 40 percent of Americans overall) believe that Obama is a socialist.
  • 57 percent of Republicans (32 percent overall) believe that Obama is a Muslim
  • 45 percent of Republicans (25 percent overall) agree with the Birthers in their belief that Obama was “not born in the United States and so is not eligible to be president”
  • 38 percent of Republicans (20 percent overall) say that Obama is “doing many of the things that Hitler did”
  • Scariest of all, 24 percent of Republicans (14 percent overall) say that Obama “may be the Antichrist.”
These numbers demonstrates the cost of the campaign of fear and hate that has been pumped up in the service of hyper-partisanship over the past 15 months.
We are playing with dynamite by demonizing our president and dividing the United States in the process. What might be good for ratings is bad for the country
AARP.org

Sarah Palin is dividing this country with her talk of "Rill Americans" and "True Patriots".   She is sending the messege that if you aren't in agreement with her and her ilk, then somehow you are not a "Rill American".

Quite a bit of her hateful rhetoric stems, I believe, from her failure to get over losing the election in 2008 which is evidenced by her behavior towards our President.  She gives clues to this, by her calling President Obama inexperienced, when she herself has quit every major job she has ever had, including the Governorship of Alaska midway through her first term.  Also it should be noted that in her latest facebook screed, she comments on the election once again by saying the following

We’re paying particular attention to those House members who voted in favor of Obamacare and represent districts that Senator John McCain and I carried during the 2008 election.

She can't get over the fact that she didn't win the election with McCain.  She won't get over it either, because she has proven time and again that she has a HUGE chip on her shoulder and carries a grudge that is never-ending.

She has started using language that indicates she knows what she is doing and it is deliberate.
Take a look at the highlighted words.

Out-of-touch Congress Sounds Our Clarion Call to Take a Stand

clarion call is a powerful request for action or an irresistible mandate. It derives from the sound of a clarion, a medieval trumpet. It is frequently used in a religious context, and is the name of several missionary Christian groups. It is also used in a political context, in that a politician issues a challenge for action from the public.

We’ll aim for these races and many others. This is just the first salvo in a fight to elect people across the nation who will bring common sense to Washington. Please go to sarahpac.com and join me in the fight.

These are deliberate choices made in the wording of this paragraph, especially in light of the gun sight targets used in the photograph (shown above).  This is more than a call to action, this is a call to arms.

Now I spoke of Sarah's association with the AIP earlier in the post.  She has denied being a member of the Party and they have publicly announced she was not a registered member, while we know that her husband was indeed a member for numerous years.   That being said, she has associations with members, aside from her husband, and has been very supportive of their organization.

She welcomed them while in office:

You can see for yourself what the AIP has to say about Sarah(start at the 6:00 mark):

Freedom fighter
Alaskan Independence Party chairwoman Lynette Clark talks about why she doesn't identify herself as an American, and about her kindred spirit Sarah Palin.
Last October, at a gathering of various anti-U.S. groups in Chattanooga, Tenn., called the Secessionist Convention, Clark's husband, Dexter, expressed hope that Palin's political rise was a positive sign for their independence movement. "Our current governor, who I mentioned at the last conference, the one we were hoping would get elected, Sarah Palin, did get elected," Dexter, a homespun-looking man in jeans and suspenders and a ZZ Top beard, told the assembly of secessionists. "There's a joke -- she's a pretty good-lookin' gal -- there's a joke around, that we're the coldest state with the hottest governor. And there's a lot of talk about her moving up. She was an AIP member, before she got the job as the mayor of a small town. That was a nonpartisan job. But to get along to go along, she eventually joined the Republican Party, where she had all kinds of problems with their ethics ... And she's pretty well sympathetic, because of her former membership."
Freedom Fighter

So clearly the AIP members consider her a kindred spirit.

Then we have...........

Meet Sarah Palin's radical right-wing pals

Extremists Mark Chryson and Steve Stoll helped launch Palin's political career in Alaska, and in return had influence over policy. "Her door was open," says Chryson -- and still is.

Though Chryson belongs to a fringe political party, one that advocates the secession of Alaska from the Union, and that organizes with other like-minded secessionist movements from Canada to the Deep South, he is not without peculiar influence in state politics, especially the rise of Sarah Palin. An obscure figure outside of Alaska, Chryson has been a political fixture in the hometown of the Republican vice-presidential nominee for over a decade. During the 1990s, when Chryson directed the AIP, he and another radical right-winger, Steve Stoll, played a quiet but pivotal role in electing Palin as mayor of Wasilla and shaping her political agenda afterward. Both Stoll and Chryson not only contributed to Palin's campaign financially, they played major behind-the-scenes roles in the Palin camp before, during and after her victory.

Palin backed Chryson as he successfully advanced a host of anti-tax, pro-gun initiatives, including one that altered the state Constitution's language to better facilitate the formation of anti-government militias. She joined in their vendetta against several local officials they disliked, and listened to their advice about hiring. She attempted to name Stoll, a John Birch Society activist known in the Mat-Su Valley as "Black Helicopter Steve," to an empty Wasilla City Council seat. "Every time I showed up her door was open," said Chryson. "And that policy continued when she became governor."

Sarah's Extremist Friends

During the Presidential election Sarah made a point of saying to everyone and anyone who would listen that then Senator Obama "pals around with terrorists" and then defended her statements by saying:

the Democratic presidential nominee's association with a 1960s radical is an issue that is "fair to talk about."

Palin Defends Obama terrorist comment

In the spirit of equality, I think it is fair that we take the time to examine Sarah Palin's ties to these extremists she is encouraging and propagating with the dangerous rhetoric she is spewing forth with, and those ties she has with known extremists.

I think that there is no question that Sarah Palin is a dangerous person who is deliberately trying to instigate a negative and dangerous  & potentially deadly reaction out of her followers.

  2. It is sad that no one from the GOP or the republicans has come out and strongly denounced this call to violence. Sure they say in a weak tone, as if even they don't believe what they are saying.

This is Domestic Terrorism no doubt about it.

  5. Reporting her to Facebook has been done and so has turning her into the FBI.

Crystalwolf...of course they are worried, and they should be. This kind of hate and incitement is dangerous and they know it as well as we do, but they have to defend her no matter what she does because they don't know how to think for themselves. Not one of them has the balls to come out and admit she went too far. Why because they are brainwashed and will only do or say what they are told to do and say.

  6. Great post. And what is more important, this is just a flake in the snowpack of Alaska that is Palin's fraud, phoniness, and pathologic behavior. While I believe her ultimate motive is grifting, i.e. $$$$, she obviously will do ANYTHING for advancement. Like any of the innumerable lies and gates she is involved with, who could look at this and think she is a reasonable leader?
Watch the video: She is condoning a seccesionist movement. That is illegal and unethical. Then, of course, she lies and says it isn't so. Quitting, lying, and regurgitating right wing propaganda. Add a little sexy librarian look. Rinse, repeat.
She has been beyond lucky, and gotten away with so many sickening deceits. Murdoch and the MSM may be using her for their own purposes ($$$ and ratings), but, inevitably, her house of cards will tumble.
    BTW, hi crystalwolf.
