Sarah Palin & The Lunatic Fringe

Last Night Rachel Maddow did a segment on her show that is extremely important for people to see.

Sarah Palin seems to be willingly and happily associating herself with this lunatic fringe  and using specific wording as a call to arms, both literally and figuratively, to take action against those with whom they disagree.

On her twitter page, you can see the call to "Reload".........

Next on her facebook page you have her using gunsights to pinpoint the locations she wants targeted....

This isn't "accidental" language, but instead it is deliberate and incendiary language used to ignite passions and inflame her followers, spurring them into action.

Now take the close association of Sarah Palin not just with the Tea-Party activists who have been shown to use hateful rhetoric in order to get their point across, as is evidenced by the signs seen at the Tea-Party Rallies but with her ties to the AIP, which we will go into later, she is adept at creating division and encouraging action against the government.

These are just a few examples of the Tea Party protest signs.  The problem is that all should be considered threats, especially in light of the incidents that are taking place now.   When their votes don't get them what they want, they are now going to use the threat of violence to promote their agenda.  That is nothing short of Domestic Terrorism.

Now Sarah Palin supporters are no different, and in fact are inline with these "teabaggers".  In fact, her own website, Conservatives for Palin has members who have been vocal about their support for the Tea Party, and one member in particular proudly proclaims his violent tendancy.

I know many will say that Sarah cannot be held responsible for what her followers do or say, but her facebook and twitter postings have negated that argument 100%.   When you call for people to "Reload" and use gun sights for targeting people, you are in fact inciting that violent behavior and encouraging the lunatic fringe into action.

This was found at the AARP website:

This is really distressing, but we've witnessed it being inflamed before our very eyes by the new extremist element of the GOP.  We've seen the ugly posters at Tea Party events, GOP leaders and lawmakers inciting protesters, even tweeting about guns and rising up against the other side and  President Barack HUSSEIN Obam a and filing frivolous lawsuits about his citizenship.
John Avlon says this new Harris poll is scary, and that’s probably an understatement. Bad craziness has taken over the right to an appalling degree.
Obama Derangement Syndrome—pathological hatred of the president posing as patriotism—has infected the Republican Party. Here’s new data to prove it:
  • 67 percent of Republicans (and 40 percent of Americans overall) believe that Obama is a socialist.
  • 57 percent of Republicans (32 percent overall) believe that Obama is a Muslim
  • 45 percent of Republicans (25 percent overall) agree with the Birthers in their belief that Obama was “not born in the United States and so is not eligible to be president”
  • 38 percent of Republicans (20 percent overall) say that Obama is “doing many of the things that Hitler did”
  • Scariest of all, 24 percent of Republicans (14 percent overall) say that Obama “may be the Antichrist.”
These numbers demonstrates the cost of the campaign of fear and hate that has been pumped up in the service of hyper-partisanship over the past 15 months.
We are playing with dynamite by demonizing our president and dividing the United States in the process. What might be good for ratings is bad for the country
AARP.org

Sarah Palin is dividing this country with her talk of "Rill Americans" and "True Patriots".   She is sending the messege that if you aren't in agreement with her and her ilk, then somehow you are not a "Rill American".

Quite a bit of her hateful rhetoric stems, I believe, from her failure to get over losing the election in 2008 which is evidenced by her behavior towards our President.  She gives clues to this, by her calling President Obama inexperienced, when she herself has quit every major job she has ever had, including the Governorship of Alaska midway through her first term.  Also it should be noted that in her latest facebook screed, she comments on the election once again by saying the following

We’re paying particular attention to those House members who voted in favor of Obamacare and represent districts that Senator John McCain and I carried during the 2008 election.

She can't get over the fact that she didn't win the election with McCain.  She won't get over it either, because she has proven time and again that she has a HUGE chip on her shoulder and carries a grudge that is never-ending.

She has started using language that indicates she knows what she is doing and it is deliberate.
Take a look at the highlighted words.

Out-of-touch Congress Sounds Our Clarion Call to Take a Stand

clarion call is a powerful request for action or an irresistible mandate. It derives from the sound of a clarion, a medieval trumpet. It is frequently used in a religious context, and is the name of several missionary Christian groups. It is also used in a political context, in that a politician issues a challenge for action from the public.

We’ll aim for these races and many others. This is just the first salvo in a fight to elect people across the nation who will bring common sense to Washington. Please go to sarahpac.com and join me in the fight.

These are deliberate choices made in the wording of this paragraph, especially in light of the gun sight targets used in the photograph (shown above).  This is more than a call to action, this is a call to arms.

Now I spoke of Sarah's association with the AIP earlier in the post.  She has denied being a member of the Party and they have publicly announced she was not a registered member, while we know that her husband was indeed a member for numerous years.   That being said, she has associations with members, aside from her husband, and has been very supportive of their organization.

She welcomed them while in office:

You can see for yourself what the AIP has to say about Sarah(start at the 6:00 mark):

Freedom fighter
Alaskan Independence Party chairwoman Lynette Clark talks about why she doesn't identify herself as an American, and about her kindred spirit Sarah Palin.
Last October, at a gathering of various anti-U.S. groups in Chattanooga, Tenn., called the Secessionist Convention, Clark's husband, Dexter, expressed hope that Palin's political rise was a positive sign for their independence movement. "Our current governor, who I mentioned at the last conference, the one we were hoping would get elected, Sarah Palin, did get elected," Dexter, a homespun-looking man in jeans and suspenders and a ZZ Top beard, told the assembly of secessionists. "There's a joke -- she's a pretty good-lookin' gal -- there's a joke around, that we're the coldest state with the hottest governor. And there's a lot of talk about her moving up. She was an AIP member, before she got the job as the mayor of a small town. That was a nonpartisan job. But to get along to go along, she eventually joined the Republican Party, where she had all kinds of problems with their ethics ... And she's pretty well sympathetic, because of her former membership."
Freedom Fighter

So clearly the AIP members consider her a kindred spirit.

Then we have...........

Meet Sarah Palin's radical right-wing pals

Extremists Mark Chryson and Steve Stoll helped launch Palin's political career in Alaska, and in return had influence over policy. "Her door was open," says Chryson -- and still is.

Though Chryson belongs to a fringe political party, one that advocates the secession of Alaska from the Union, and that organizes with other like-minded secessionist movements from Canada to the Deep South, he is not without peculiar influence in state politics, especially the rise of Sarah Palin. An obscure figure outside of Alaska, Chryson has been a political fixture in the hometown of the Republican vice-presidential nominee for over a decade. During the 1990s, when Chryson directed the AIP, he and another radical right-winger, Steve Stoll, played a quiet but pivotal role in electing Palin as mayor of Wasilla and shaping her political agenda afterward. Both Stoll and Chryson not only contributed to Palin's campaign financially, they played major behind-the-scenes roles in the Palin camp before, during and after her victory.

Palin backed Chryson as he successfully advanced a host of anti-tax, pro-gun initiatives, including one that altered the state Constitution's language to better facilitate the formation of anti-government militias. She joined in their vendetta against several local officials they disliked, and listened to their advice about hiring. She attempted to name Stoll, a John Birch Society activist known in the Mat-Su Valley as "Black Helicopter Steve," to an empty Wasilla City Council seat. "Every time I showed up her door was open," said Chryson. "And that policy continued when she became governor."

Sarah's Extremist Friends

During the Presidential election Sarah made a point of saying to everyone and anyone who would listen that then Senator Obama "pals around with terrorists" and then defended her statements by saying:

the Democratic presidential nominee's association with a 1960s radical is an issue that is "fair to talk about."

Palin Defends Obama terrorist comment

In the spirit of equality, I think it is fair that we take the time to examine Sarah Palin's ties to these extremists she is encouraging and propagating with the dangerous rhetoric she is spewing forth with, and those ties she has with known extremists.

I think that there is no question that Sarah Palin is a dangerous person who is deliberately trying to instigate a negative and dangerous  & potentially deadly reaction out of her followers.

BOYCOTT ALASKA

Don't give the state a single penny of your money until they stop the wholesale slaughter of wolves under the guise of "predator control".

Hunters in Alaska don't like competing with wolves. So the state has been issuing permits for teams of gunners and pilots to chase wolves from aircraft, then shoot them. This January, the Superior Court of Alaska found the state's aerial wolf-shooting scheme invalid. But rather than stop the gunning, the state's Board of Game hastily made up new rules and the killing of wolves continues! In response, we're calling for all supporters to BOYCOTT ALASKA this travel season.
In 1992, Friends of Animals's BOYCOTT ALASKA campaign stopped a similar aerial program after just 15 days.
Show your support by submitting photographs of boycott supporters holding signs such as "Boycott Alaska," "I'd rather be here than in Alaska," or "Stop Shooting Wolves." Tell us where "here" is for you. And tell your friends and co-workers. Send a message to the Alaskan government that you won't be spending money in Alaska until it ends its aerial wolf-control program.
Thanks to Francis Murray of Juneau, Alaska, for sending us this idea. At Friends of Animals, we acknowledge that wolves have inherent value. Whether we deem them endangered or plentiful in numbers, and whether or not we see them and deem them beautiful, their individual lives, their futures, and their freedom have meaning and value to them. And that's what counts to us.

Pass the PAW Act -- End Alaska's Aerial Hunting Program!
Tell Congress to support the Protect America's Wildlife (PAW) Act, legislation to close a federal loophole and curb Alaska's brutal aerial hunting program -- and prevent programs like it from spreading to places like the Greater Yellowstone region.

Bristol Palin Thy Name Be Hypocrite or Just call her Vicky Hollywood!

Bristol Palin wanted to keep the custody hearings regarding her son Tripp secret.  She claimed it was for several reasons.
The court documents:
Bristol gives reasons to the court on why she feels the case should be kept secret

Let's look at #7 where it states:
7.As can be seen by all the media publications cited in my original Motion to close these proceedings and for a gag order, Levi has used the media to cause my family (and myself) embarrassment.  Levi's family (Mercedes Johnston in particular) has previously attacked my character in the media, and made disparaging remarks about  me and about custody issues.

Bristol I would like to bring to your attention:

Sarah Palin's Camp Lashes Out at Levi Johnston

Sarah on Oprah calls Levi "Ricky Hollywood" and suggests he is going down the wrong road, calling his posing for Playgirl as "Porn"

Sarah Palin responds to Levi "those who would sell their body for money"

Chuck Heath Bashes Levi Johnston in Us Magazine

And those are just off the top of my head, but Bristol, let's not forget that your mother and your family has a history of making disparaging comments about others, as evidenced in your mothers book, and of course there is the Trooper Wooten issue, and then there is your Aunt Molly's custody case. You remember that don't you?

Court records obtained by NEWSWEEK show that during the course of divorce hearings three years ago, Judge John Suddock heard testimony from an official of the Alaska State Troopers' union about how Sarah Palin—then a private citizen—and members of her family, including her father and daughter, lodged up to a dozen complaints against Wooten with the state police. The union official told the judge that he had never before been asked to appear as a divorce-case witness, that the union believed family complaints against Wooten were "not job-related," and that Wooten was being "harassed" by Palin and other family members.
Court documents show that Judge Suddock was disturbed by the alleged attacks by Palin and her family members on Wooten's behavior and character. "Disparaging will not be tolerated—it is a form of child abuse," the judge told a settlement hearing in October 2005, according to typed notes of the proceedings.

Warned by the Court: A judge repeatedly told Palin and family not to badmouth her sister's ex

So it would seem that you and your family have a history of this kind of behavior.

Now if you look at #8 it states:

8.I believe that Levi Johnston will soon be filming a reality show in Alaska. I do not believe it would be in Tripp's best interest for Levi's reality show to be filming this case as it unfolds, or for Levi Johnston to be capitalizing of this custody case through his reality show.

Now that is an odd thing to claim as it has been revealed that Bristol Palin will be making her acting debut playing herself on a television show.

Bristol Palin Makes Acting Debut as Teen Mom Playing Self

So does Bristol consider this to be in Tripp's best interest?  The show isn't filmed in Alaska, so she is going to have to travel to do filming, so that means she is either going to leave Tripp in the care of others while she travels to do this show, or she is going to be taking Tripp with her, which means hiring additional care for him and paying extra for that caregiver to travel with her while she jets around to do immerse herself in the hollywood scene.  She is also capitalizing on her situation, to line her pockets and make a name for herself.

Now let's take a look at #9 from the court documents.
9. I cannot imagine any reason why Levi Johnston would think that having this custody proceeding take place in the media spotlight would be in Tripp's best interests. It appears that the only reason Levi wants this case to remain public is so that he can continue to capitalize on his name and this case by selling stories to the media.  To my knowledge Levi's media exposure is his only source of income.  That leads me to believe that Levi's interest in keeping this case unsealed is purely financial.  Levi's interest in self promotion has nothing to do with Tripp's best interests.

I find that to be an interesting allegation when all the factors are taken into consideration.   If you will notice the date on these papers, it states this was sworn to on December 22 2009.

Less than a month later,  Bristol appeared on the cover of In Touch Magazine with her son and her mother, and gave an interview, with photos of herself and her son Tripp, to this tabloid magazine for the reported sum of $100,000.00

In Touch Exclusive Interview & Photos:Sarah & Bristol Palin, "We're glad we chose life"

You know Bristol people like you make me sick.  You engage in what you accuse others of and just like your mother, you try to portray yourself as this big victim when you are in fact the exact opposite.

I was married to an abuser.  I survived it, and all that was done to me, and never once did I try and keep him from seeing his children.  He never harmed his kids, (that was saved for me alone), and as much as I hated him, I knew that my kids deserved to have their father in their life because he cared about them, and they cared about him.   I knew that what went on between he and I was just that, between he & I, and did not involve the kids.

Why you would try to keep Levi and his family out of his son's life, is beyond me.  You engage in exactly the same tactics you accuse Levi of doing and yet seem to think that you are the better parent?  You are a disgusting example of a parent.  Levi has never disparaged you or your parenting abilities.   I pity your son and hope that his father and his father's family are able to counteract all that you will inflict on this child.

**Update** Sarah Palin Photoshops Picture of Own Son; Using Him Yet Again!

Yes, the title is correct!

Sarah Palin has photoshopped a picture of her son, taken while out on the book tour, implying with the photoshop & accompanying tweet, that Trig is a fan of the Iron Dog.

This is the "Tweet" from Sarah:

http://twitpic.com/14ls25 - Trig's a fan! Go IronDoggers - be safe, ride hard, have fun lovin' Alaska's great outdoors.
from TwitPic

SarahPalinUSA Tweet

This is the picture she linked to:

This is the picture before the photoshop:

If she wanted to share a photo of him with her fans why didn't she use a real one? She couldn't even add a photo of him at the race? She had to fake it? Why?  They couldn't spend  a couple of their millions and buy the kid an Iron Dog Shirt and take a picture of him with it on?

This is just another of the many examples of this woman using this child.  I really hope that one day she stops using her children, stops pretending to be something she isn't, stops attempting to portray herself and her life & family as something that it isn't.

By the way, I seem to recall this statement from the Palin camp the last time a photo that had Trig in the original was photoshopped.

Palin spokeswoman Meghan Stapelton said in a statement provided to CNN. "The mere idea of someone doctoring the photo of a special needs baby is appalling."

I guess now it's okay to photoshop a picture of a special needs baby huh??

H/T to Palingates for the heads up on this information & to Bree Palin for the twitpic of the original and unphotoshopped picture from the book tour.

***UPDATE***

Well it seems that Sarah isn't the one who photoshopped that picture of Trig, she just conveniently forgot to give credit to the author.    It seems that Palin fan  Karen Allen is the one who did the photoshop.

Here is her facebook page:

Actress From Family Guy Fires Back At Sarah Palin

As you are no doubt aware, Sarah Palin and her daughter Bristol recently fired off a very revealing Facebook posting in regards to a Valentines Day episode of Family Guy in which a Down Syndrome girl was played by Andrea Friedman.

Bristol and Sarah took offense suggesting that the show was attacking their beloved Trig.

Sarah : "it felt like a another kick in the gut"
Bristol: “When you’re the son or daughter of a public figure, you have to develop thick skin. My siblings and I all have that, but insults directed at our youngest brother hurt too much for us to remain silent. People with special needs face challenges that many of us will never confront, and yet they are some of the kindest and most loving people you’ll ever meet. Their lives are difficult enough as it is, so why would anyone want to make their lives more difficult by mocking them? As a culture, shouldn’t we be more compassionate to innocent people – especially those who are less fortunate? Shouldn’t we be willing to say that some things just are not funny? Are there any limits to what some people will do or say in regards to my little brother or others in the special needs community? If the writers of a particularly pathetic cartoon show thought they were being clever in mocking my brother and my family yesterday, they failed. All they proved is that they’re heartless jerks.

Sarah and Bristol, defenders of special needs children right? Yeah, not so much. Have you seen how Trig was treated on the book tour and campaign trail? Ah..well, that is another story altogether,

So, it has been a big todo as is everything Sarah does when she gets on her high horse about something. The problem with this situation? Well the woman who played the character Ellen on the Family Guy episode is Andrea Friedman and she has Down Syndrome. And it seems she has something to say to Sarah about Sarah's reaction. In fact Andrea felt so strongly about it she wrote an email and sent it to the New York Times. Sadly they didn't see fit to print the entire thing, opting instead to cut out parts of it. Luckily we've been given permission by Andrea's father to share a copy of the entire email.

My name is Andrea Fay Friedman. I was born with Down syndrome. I played the role of Ellen on the "Extra Large Medium" episode of Family Guy that was broadcast on Valentine's day. Although they gave me red hair on the show, I am really a blonde. I also wore a red wig for my role in " Smudge" but I was a blonde in "Life Goes On". I guess former Governor Palin does not have a sense of humor. I thought the line "I am the daughter of the former governor of Alaska" was very funny. I think the word is "sarcasm".

In my family we think laughing is good. My parents raised me to have a sense of humor and to live a normal life. My mother did not carry me around under her arm like a loaf of French bread the way former Governor Palin carries her son Trig around looking for sympathy and votes.

Quite the take down! Congradulations Andrea on letting people know how you feel and for sharing what an incredible woman you are.

Now I will admit I am curious as to how Sarah will react to this email. But I was even more curious as to how Sarah's fans would react to this. Would they stand up and applaud this woman for making something of herself and making a choice about what she wanted to do? Would they ignore it?

It would have been better for them to ignore it altogether instead of reacting the way that many of them did.

i don't think this 40 year old down's syndrome woman wrote this or formulated these political opinions. my guess is that she is being used a political pawn, to accuse governor palin of using her infant son as a political pawn.

What has been "set straight"? So you thought the line was funny. Millions didn't. Get over it. You still get paid.
The only thing this "sets straigh" is that Andrea doesn't mind being exploited by script writers, and her own family, for their political biases. Read the last sentence again. As they say, "you are what you hate"...

Unfortunately Andrea may mind if she understood the complicated political arena she has been pushed into by her dad who set up this gig for her.
We need to protect out special needs community not use them as pawns... and no, Sarah carrying her infant son in public or private does not make him a pawn.

in any event what does the friedman letter prove no matter who wrote it. only one family was being made fun of in the cartoon and that was the palin family. now if the friedman family was made fun of in the same way then i would care what they thought but until then i would rather hear from bristol and what she thought.

So yes, these Palin fans are implying that Andrea can't think for herself, can't speak for herself and is being used by others. They seem to have a pretty low opinion of Andrea don't they? I wonder how they would react if they took the time to look at her accomplishments?

Andrea's Resume from her IMB page

So yes, she is a pretty smart cookie and could run circles around Sarah Palin as far as intelligence goes.

She is also the subject of a documentary being made which tells her story! She is quite an incredible young woman!

A Possible Dream - preview

I would like to give Andrea a HUGE Thank You for standing up for yourself and for others who face challenges but don't let that define them, or hold them back from anything! You are a credit to your parents and to yourself!
